Looking for those who have experience in putting together an event.
Looking to network and get ideas on putting
together my dream of a music / dog awareness festival - fundraiser in
Cincinnati Ohio.
I have the desire to combine my musical talents and love for dogs with other musicians to showcase our music and bring awareness to canine issues including my personal one of Pug Dog Encephalitis, Pit Bull/Rottweiler advocacy issues as well as others. I picture a day long event with live music, speakers, booths, food and maybe a dog show of some sorts. I would also like to raise money for Pug Dog Encephalitis research and other local dog rescues.
I have received a positive feedback from those I have discussed this with and have a few already willing to help. I also have means to promote locally through print, radio and TV.
Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing??? I could use some pointers and direction. Especilly in sponsorship and donations to provide the mans to put on such an endeavor.
